Confections

Plan A: Go to UK. Buy Sherbet Lemons. Return home.
Plan B: Catch bus to New Lynn. Catch train to Britomart. Walk to Franklin Rd New World. Fork out perhaps eight dollars or thereabouts for Sherbet Lemons. Return home.

I remember awhile ago they sold Sherbet Fizz not just in that flavour, bubblegum, plain and Nerdalicious but also Hot. If Hot is a flavour. It was spicy, but it was sherbet. And it was red and it was in a green liquorice roll.
And for some reason you could mainly only buy it at Kmart.
Oh-h and those Wonka bars that they had when the film was redone.

Plan C: Eat the Citric Acid in the pantry that has probably been there since the late 70s.

They've stopped importing Kendal Mint Cake at the fruit shop near here.
I don't know where else one's supposed to purchase it from.
Especially since all of my great aunties have decided that they may as well stay and await death in Cheshire rather than coming here armed with Mint Cake supplies every five years or so.
Really. Everyone in my extended family loves to talk about their funerals and etcetera.

Mother: "Do you want to go out for lunch or stay home?"
Grandmother: "I have to save up for my coffin."

Uncle: "Does anyone want to buy this cheaply made three piece suit from Thailand? We decided against having a very formal wedding."
Grandmother: "Why aren't you saving it to wear to my funeral? Don't you care about me?"

Channie the Fannie: "Hello, are you Rebecca's grandmother?"
Grandmother: "Yes. She's paying for my funeral. Lucky the coffin will be cheap, I'm very short."

Apparently, when I say, "No", it's all very amusing.

That one person who wants to kill me tried to sell me some Girl Guide Biscuits in Mt Eden Village.
That, I think, is a very commendably elaborate poisoning plan if I may be so self absorbed.
Unfortunately nine years of selling those biscuits myself was enough to put me off eternally.

"What colour are his eyes?"
"I don't know, he's always wearing shades."

I wonder if Little Pictures' song, "Eliot" is about T. S. Eliot.
